By accessing or using wrm.so ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

The Service is intended for use by libraries, bookstores, and similar organizations. You must be authorized to represent your organization to use this Service.

Description of Service

wrm.so provides:

  • URL shortening with custom domains
  • QR code generation with branding
  • Visit tracking and analytics
  • Team management features
  • Integration with library systems and worm.so

Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account
  • Not share your account with others

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Distribute malware, spam, or phishing content
  • Link to illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
  • Use the Service for cryptocurrency, gambling, or adult content

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to content you create (URLs, QR codes, logos, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a license to host and display this content as necessary to provide the Service.

Our Content: The Service, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by wrm.so and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer our Service.

Billing and Payments

Subscription Plans

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or stated in our refund policy.

Free Trials and Pilots

We may offer free trials or pilot programs. At the end of the trial period, you will be charged for your selected plan unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Usage Limits

Each plan includes usage limits (URLs, clicks, team members). Exceeding these limits may result in:

  • Temporary service restrictions
  • Automatic upgrade to a higher plan (with notice)
  • Overage charges as specified in your plan

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period. You will retain access until that date.

Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and use data as described in that policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and any library patron privacy laws.

Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance (with notice)
  • Make emergency updates or fixes
  • Modify or discontinue features

We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions beyond our control.

Custom Domains

If you use a custom domain:

  • You must own or have rights to the domain
  • You are responsible for DNS configuration
  • We may suspend custom domains that violate these Terms
  • SSL certificates are provided automatically via Let's Encrypt

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service is free from viruses or harmful components
  • Results from using the Service will be accurate or reliable

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, wrm.so shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless wrm.so from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Content you create or share using the Service

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with the changes, you may cancel your account.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • Your payment fails
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We discontinue the Service (with 60 days notice)

Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days. After that, we may delete your data.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
